How to work with me

IN-person Therapy in Philadelphia

I offer in-person therapy in Rittenhouse Philadelphia. My office was designed to feel warm, comfortable and relaxed. Think comfy couch, natural light, and a space you can settle in and feel at home.

Areas of Focus: Anxiety, Relationships & Self-Trust

FOcused Areas of my practice

We'll work on:
  • Managing anxiety
  • Breaking out of overthinking loops
  • Learning to trust yourself even when you don’t have all the answers

anxiety & Overthinking

When you’re constantly replaying conversations, second-guessing decisions, worrying about what could go wrong, or trying to think your way into certainty, it can be hard to ever really relax.

We'll work on:
  • Understanding your attachment patterns
  • Recognizing what you actually want and need
  • Building relationships that feel healthy, secure, and right for you

Dating, relationships & attachment

When you’re overanalyzing every text, questioning where you stand, getting attached too quickly, or finding yourself in the same relationship patterns over and over, dating and relationships can start to feel overwhelming.

We'll work on:
  • Setting boundaries
  • Communicating what you need
  • Getting more comfortable with the fact that not everyone has to be happy with your choices

BOUNDARIES & PEOPLE-PLEASING

When you’re used to saying yes when you want to say no, avoiding conflict, or feeling responsible for how everyone else feels, it can be hard to know where your own needs fit in.

We'll work on:
  • Challenging disordered eating patterns
  • Untangling your self-worth from your appearance
  • Building a more peaceful relationship with food, your body, and yourself

Body image & Disordered Eating

When food, your body, or the way you look takes up way more mental space than you want it to, it can be exhausting.

regardless of why you started therapy,

I'm here to help you

understand the patterns that keep showing up, figure out what you actually want, and make changes that feel like you. I bring warmth, honesty, humor, and evidenced-based interventions into the room.

Usually at a pilates class or walking around rittenhouse

I’ve worked with people of all ages and backgrounds throughout my career, but I've found my sweet spot working with women navigating their 20s and 30s. I wanted to build a practice where therapy feels warm, real, and conversational while still being grounded in really good clinical care.

Therapy that feels a little less clinical and a lot more human

I’m Belle, a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes therapy doesn’t have to feel overly clinical to be effective.

My style is warm, direct, and conversational—I’ll listen, validate you, challenge you when you need it, and probably make you laugh somewhere in between. I want therapy to feel like a space where you can show up exactly as you are, talk about the things you actually care about, and leave understanding yourself a little better than when you walked in.

HOW MUCH DOES THERAPY COST?

HOW MUCH DOES THERAPY COST?

My self-pay rate is $150 per session. I’m also in-network with Aetna and have a limited number of sliding scale spots available for those who qualify.

+

DO you accept insurance?

+

DO you accept insurance?

Yes! I am in-network with Aetna. Because every insurance plan is different, I recommend verifying your specific mental health benefits directly with Aetna before your first session. Depending on your plan, you may have a copay, coinsurance, or deductible to meet before your benefits kick in, so confirming your coverage ahead of time can help you understand what to expect financially.

What if I don't have insurance or I'm located outside Pennsylvania?

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE INSURANCE?
If I’m not in-network with your insurance plan, you can still work with me as a self-pay client at $150 per session.
Many insurance plans include out-of-network mental health benefits, which may reimburse you for a portion of the cost. I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Because every plan is different, I recommend calling your insurance company and asking:
  • Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health therapy?
  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible, and if so, how much of it have I met?
  • Once my deductible is met, what percentage of each session will be reimbursed?
  • What is the allowed amount for CPT code 90834 or 90837 with an out-of-network provider?
  • How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?

Reimbursement is determined by your individual insurance plan and is not guaranteed.

WHAT IF I'M LOCATED OUTSIDE OF PENNSYLVANIA?
You don’t have to live in Pennsylvania to work with me, but you do need to be physically located in Pennsylvania at the time of our session. So, if you live in New Jersey (or another nearby state), you’re welcome to come to my Philadelphia office for in-person appointments. For virtual sessions, you’ll need to be physically in Pennsylvania at the time we meet.

is therapy worth it?

+

is therapy worth it?

My philosophy is that therapy is part of our self-care. As women, we invest in taking care of ourselves in so many ways- our hair, nails, skincare, workouts, dinners with friends- and I think our mental health deserves a place on that list, too. Therapy is an investment in understanding yourself, improving your relationships, and learning things about yourself that you’ll carry with you long after you leave the therapy room.

How do I know if I need therapy?

+

How do I know if I need therapy?

I don’t think therapy is always something you need, it can be something you choose to do for yourself. I’ve been in therapy for the past six years, and for me, it’s a space that keeps me accountable, helps me work through different stages of life, and gives me a place to process things as they come up.

Life is always changing, and there’s something really valuable about having someone to process it with who isn’t your mom, sister, or best friend. Therapy doesn’t have to start because you’re in a crisis, it can just be part of how you take care of yourself.

What should I expect in my first therapy session?

+

What should I expect in my first therapy session?

+

Before we meet, I’ll send you an intake form so I can get to know the basics. In our first session, you can choose where to begin. You don’t have to tell me your whole life story right away. We can talk about what’s on your mind today and fill in the details over time, or you can start from the beginning if you prefer.

My goal is for your first session to feel relaxed and informal, but also for you to feel like we made real progress.

Do you offer online / virtual therapy sessions?

+

Do you offer online / virtual therapy sessions?

+

Yes! I offer both in-person therapy in Center City Philadelphia and virtual therapy throughout Pennsylvania. Virtual sessions can be a great option if getting to the office isn’t convenient, you have a busy schedule, or you simply prefer meeting from home. You’ll just need to be physically located in Pennsylvania at the time of your appointment.

what areas Do you specialize in?

+

I primarily work with women in their 20s and 30s who are dealing with anxiety, overthinking, dating and relationship stress, attachment, people-pleasing, body image, disordered eating and all the transitions that come with this stage of life. A lot of our work is figuring out why you think, feel, and react the way you do—and how to stop getting stuck in the same patterns over and over again. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT and DBT, while blending a modern, relational approach to make therapy feel practical, approachable, and useful in your everyday life.
